Egg Collection
|

 You will be admitted on a day care basis. On arrival at the Centre you will be met and escorted to the medical suite. The female partner will be prepared for surgery, while the male partner will produce a fresh semen sample.
Egg recovery is performed vaginally, under deep sedation, using a special needle guided by ultrasound scan. Each follicle is aspirated in turn until all the eggs are collected.
Following the procedure you will rest in your bed and looked after by our friendly recovery nurses for 1 – 2 hours before you are discharged.
