Medical Team

The Medical Director FRCOG
The Essex Fertility Centre was founded in 1989 by its’ Medical Director, Mr Michael Ah-Moye. Since 1985 he has worked exclusively as a specialist in the field of assisted conception. His initial experience was gained at the IVF Unit, Humana Hospital Wellington, which was the largest and busiest IVF Unit in the country at the time.

When he left in 1989 he was acting Deputy Medical Director. Mr Ah-Moye’s enormous experience and expertise in assisted conception has resulted in the delivery of thousands of babies. He has established the highest reputation for his meticulous and personal approach to the management of his patients.

Fertility Specialist
Mr. William Fiamanya FRCOG is an Associate Fertility Consultant, with extensive experience in the field of infertility and general Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

He has worked exclusively in assisted conception since 1987. The two fertility consultants work full time at the Essex Fertility Centre and continuity of care is therefore guaranteed.

Fertility Specialist
Dr Imoedemhe FRCOG is a fellow of the Royal Gynaecologists trained in Reproductive Biology and infertility at the Academic Department of The Royal Free Hospital in London.

Since 1982 Daniel has been in continuous practice in Assisted Reproductive Techniques with extensive experience. He is a keen researcher in the field of Assisted Reproduction with more than 100 publications, abstracts.

The Embryology Team

Lead Scientist & Operations Manager
Andy Glew is one of the three co-founders of the Fertility Centre. Andy has been the Laboartory manager at the Essex Fertility Centre since it was established in 1989. Andy has vast experience in the field on embryology and recognised him both national and international acclaim.

Lynne Glover MSc
Lynne joined the Herts and Essex Fertility Centre in 2006. She commenced her training in 2003 at St James’s Hospital in Leeds, and also worked at Kings College Hospital, London.
Lynne has obtained the ACE certificate in Clinical Embryology and has been ICSI licensed since 2005. Lynne manages the donor sperm programme at the Herts and Essex Fertility Centre.

Nicola Townsend BSc
Nicola joined the Herts and Essex Fertility Centre in 2006. She commenced her training at the Homerton hospital in East London in 2003 and achieved the ACE certificate in Clinical embryology in September 2005. Nicola is ICSI trained and has achieved State Registration.

Kelly Hart BSc (Hons) M.Med.Sci

Kelly is the newest member of our team. She is our new Trainee Embryologist and joined the team at the beginning of October. Kelly obtained a First Class Honours degree from University College London (UCL) in The Biology of Fertility and Embryo Development. She also spent three months overseas in Buenos Aires on a Fellowship in the Biology of Reproduction at Centro de Estudios en Ginecología y Reproduccíon (CEGyR), one of South Americas leading institutes of Reproduction. Following this Kelly went on to obtain a Master of Medical Sciences degree (M.Med.Sci) with Merit in Assisted Reproduction Technology from the University of Nottingham before coming to join us to work on her ACE certificate.

Fertility Nurse Co-ordinators

Nurse/Clinic Manager - Linda Gracey RCN
We have a tremendous team of highly experienced, competent and deeply motivated Fertility Nurse Co-ordinators led by Linda Gracey. Linda looks after the day to day smooth running of the centre and has been with the tream since 1999. The Fertility Nurse Co-ordinators have a crucial and indispensable role within the team as they have maximum contact with you.

They supervise the arrangement of all investigations and treatments as advised by the consultants. They provide day to day care and support for you during the treatment, endeavour to keep you well informed, answer any queries and make every effort to adjust the treatment schedule to minimise the impact on your working life.

Clinical Services Manager - Debbie Evans RGN
Debbie joined the team in March 2008 and works alongside Linda to manage the day to day running of the unit. She was involved in the project of setting up the clinic in an advisory/consultant capacity.

Debbie has many years of experience working at management level and has worked in the field of fertility for 8 years. She has developed a vast amount of knowledge in managing a fertility unit and dealing with the nursing care of our patients and is qualified in Sonography.

Liz Machin RCN - Co-Founder
Liz is one of the co-founders of the Fertility Centre. After working at Whipps Cross in the antenatal department, she joined the Essex Fertility Centre in 1989. As a result Liz has a wealth of experience in the management of our patients. Liz also manages the egg donation program.

Mary Tulloch RGN
After training as a registered nurse and a state certified midwife, Mary worked in Occupational Health and student health for 17 years at The University of London, Queen Mary College. For the past 14 years, she has gained valuable experience working both in gynaecology and fertility clinics joining this team in 2004.

Filz Salih RGN
Filiz has been involved in womens health since 1986 and has experience of working on a gynaecology ward and clinic, sexual health, family planning and in an early pregnancy assessment unit. She has 7 years experience in fertility and as well as doing clinical work is a qualified ultrasonographer.

Sarah Templeman RGN
Sarah worked on the wards at holly house hospital for 11 years, caring exclusively for our fertility patients from 2003 onwards. She then joined our clinic staff in 2005 as a valuable member of the Fertility Nurse team.

Gerian Williams
- Nurse Co-ordinator
Gerian woked on the ward at Holly House Hospital from 1991 which involved looking after our own fertility patients. Gerian then joined the Fertility team in 2003.

David Hubble PODP
- Theatre / Recovery Manager

Emilia Manaloto
- Theatre & Recovery Practitioner.
Emilia obtained a Degree in Bachelor of Science in 1983 and earned a Diploma of Credit in operating room , anaesthetic room and recovery room in 2006.

Her portfolio of extensive knowledge, skills and experience in the field of nursing includes being a Senior Nurse in the operating room, delivery room, recovery room, burns ICU and Ante-Natal and Post-Partum Unit. In addition to this, she has been assisting IVF procedures since 2002 at Holly House Hospital until she joined us as a valuable member of the theatre and recovery team in 2007.

I have been a qualified Health Care Assistant NVQ level 3 for 11 years and have looked after patients undergoing Fertility Treatment for those 11 years. I am a keen golfer and an animal lover.

Vicky Lee-Lozone
- Finance Manager
Vicky joined the Herts & Essex Centre in December 07 as Finance Manager. It has proved to be the best move ever. I enjoy meeting the patients face to face and sharing in their journey. It is definitely a challenge, but made easier because of the happy and wonderful team I work a long side.

Angela Conway
Joined the team in January 2003 at Holly house as an admin assistant, since coming to our new unit I have taken on a new role as finance administrator. Very glad that I made the move to the new premises & look forward to along & happy career.

Carol Wilder
- Receptionist
My Name is Carol, I will probably be the first person you see when you arrive at our clinic. It is my job to provide a warm welcome to you and act as a friendly ear to any problems you may have. I have been with the clinic for 7 years now and have loved every minute of it.

Jenifer Hunt
- IVF Administrator
Jenny has been a valuable assett to the administration team for a number of years. Always with a smile she looks after enquiries, medical records and a number of other administrative duties.

Nicola Boyle
- IVF Laboratory Administrator
Nicola started in June 2006, her role is to support the scientific team with their administrative duties.

Tina Gannon
- Medical Records Clerk
Started at Herts and Essex Fertility Centre 2nd January 2008. Responsible for all Medical Records, booking appointments, and covering reception when needed.

Nicola Morgan

Nicola joined the team in 2008. Nicola's role is to assist with patient enquiries, medical records, appointments and reception.
