Clinic overjoyed at the birth of first baby after relocation
We are delighted to announce that little Archie Young is the first baby to be born since we moved to our new state of the art facility at Bishops College. Danielle Young was the very first patient that we treated here and she brought her healthy little boy back to the clinic recently to see all the staff. We were undoubtedly thrilled to see him and he didn’t seem to mind all the fuss, attention and cuddles at all!
Medical Director Mr Michael Ah-Moye says commented on the occasion:
''The birth of Archie Young is a significant event. He represents not only the first baby to be born as a result of fertility treatment at our new location, but also a future full of success here at Herts and Essex fertility''

Herts & Essex Fertility Centre
From 2 January 2008 we will be called Herts & Essex Fertility Centre. We were formerly the Essex Fertility Centre located in a small private hospital in Buckhurst Hill. Unfortunately we simply out grew the facilities at the hospital and could not maintain the same level of service or care that both our patients and regulators expected from us.
It was therefore necessary to build a complete independent unit which we now call the Herts and Essex Fertility Centre, located in Cheshunt. See map...
We have built a relaxing and beautiful new state of the art premises at Bishop’s College, and we have completely refitted the laboratories and facilities with new equipment and monitoring systems ensuring the highest possible standard any Fertility Centre could possibly want. On top of that, remember we have 19 years of experience as a Centre of IVF excellence as The Essex Fertility Centre in Buckhurst Hill and have consistently been one of the top ten IVF units in the UK. We have three full time fertility specialists who provide a professional, caring and individual service.
We will be with you every step of the way as we help turn your dreams into reality.

NHS treatment at the Herts and Essex Fertility Centre
The Herts and Essex Fertility Centre regretfully no longer undertakes NHS referrals. The original contract was signed by the Hospital in our previous location and they have decided to continue providing fertility services with a new team and a satellite link to a central London Fertility Centre.
We will however do our best to gain the contract when it is up for renewal, and by doing so we will be able to continue with the excellent service that we provided to all Essex based NHS referred patients.

Waiting List
We are delighted to report that we have dramatically reduced the waiting list for an initial appointment which has been running at 3-4 months. We now offer a waiting list of no longer than 4 weeks and often appointments can be made sooner.
The wait is for the initial consultation, but once you have been seen there is no delay in starting your treatment. Our results would suggest that we have been worth the wait and I'm sure you will agree. When making booking enquiries then please ask about our cancellation waiting list.

Open Evenings
The centre regularly opens its doors for open evenings at which anyone is welcome to view the facilities and find out more about our fertility treatment. The evenings commence at 7.00pm with a presentation given by various staff of the centre. As well as viewing our facilities you will be given fertility drug demonstrations, and one to one consultations on your chances of success based on your own personal circumstances.
The fertility Centre's staff will be present throughout the evening, so please come along and make use of the informal evening to get answers to those questions you've been wanting to ask. The open evenings are usually well attended so we ask you to please call to confirm your attendance.
